And, they’re also fragile, suffering from climate change, over development, exploitation, and more.

Tomorrow, please join me in celebrating mountains - and working to protect them - on International Mountain Day. We’ll have a live stream of the event on Facebook with special guests and Mountain Partnership Ambassadors Ludovico Einaudi, Reinhold Messner, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang, and more.

We’ll be discussing the importance of mountains and mountain biodiversity for all of us, and working to take action to preserve and protect our mountains long into the future.
