NOTE: As of May 8, 2026, this second part of the virtual trek goes from the Amphu Laptsa to Everest Basecamp along with visits to Kala Pattar, Pumori Camp 1, and a 360 image in the lower Khumbu Icefall.. More will be added soon, continuing the trek up to Everest Basecamp and beyond. Please let me know if you find errors or have issues with the tour.
If you haven't done the first part of the trek yet, I'd recommend doing that first, starting in Kathmandu.

Welcome!
This is the second stage of a much bigger virtual trek. If you haven't already, please begin with the "Muddhi Memories Tour," which starts in Kathmandu, travels east to Tumlingtar, up through Bhojpur to Salpa Silichong, down to Mahakulung, and then up the new Muddhi-Kongmedingma Trail to the Amphu Laptsa Pass.
The tour below begins where the previous left off, at the north side base of the Amphu Laptsa Pass. From there, we travel a bit north and then due west, under the imposing, impossible south wall of Lhotse and Nuptse, and down to the village of Chhukung. Then into the Khumbu Valley proper through Dingboche, above Pheriche, past Lobuche to Gorak Shep, up Kala Pattar, on to Everest Basecamp, all with some extracurricular visits along the way.
I'm now working on new, updated panoramas of the entire Southeast Ridge climbing route to the summit, and I'll also include the Northeast Ridge (Tibet), images from my 2012 attempt on the West Ridge, and a visit to the Kangshung (East) side.
Finally, I'm also working on a better, 3D model of Everest so you can explore its nooks and crannies in 3D, and click into geolocated panoramas from the 3D model.
